We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numeric controlled (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, along with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing accurate and defect-free products. Responsibilities:
1. Set up and operate CNC machines to perform various machining operations, including milling, turning, drilling, and grinding.
2. Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements and workflow.
3. Develop CNC programs using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency and quality.
4. Load materials, tooling, fixtures, and programs into CNC machines and perform test runs to ensure proper functionality and accuracy.
5. Monitor and adjust machine settings, speeds, feeds, and tooling dimensions to ensure adherence to specifications and achieve desired results.
6. Inspect and measure finished products using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine performance, tool wear, or machining errors, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
8. Perform routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components, to ensure optimal performance.
9. Document machine settings, production data, and quality control measurements for accurate record-keeping and process improvement purposes.
10. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to provide feedback on design improvements, process optimization, and cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machining techniques.
- Proficient in using CAM software for program development.
- Solid understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to interpret and troubleshoot CNC machine codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
