A Production Technician could be working in a variety of positions including Paint Technician, Material Handler, Shipping & Receiving, or Assembly Technician.
The Production Technician makes sure the production process goes as planned and ensures that there are no errors or defects in the product being produced.
Job Duties
- Operate machinery to assist in the production process, set up and control operation of production machines
- Maintain a clean workspace as well ensuring that the equipment is operating properly.
- Understand and adhere to verbal and written instructions
- Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and mobile lifts as necessary
- Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, etc.
- Able to work as a member of a team
- Be flexible and adaptable
- Perform duties as assigned
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders and stairs, stand for long periods of time
- Be able to hear noises and conversational tones over background noise
Education / Experience
- Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
- Working in manufacturing plant environment
- Employee may be exposed to dust, odors, fumes and high levels of noise at times
- Lifting with mechanical assistance or moving up to 50lbs may be required
- Exposure to temperature fluctuations
