Sedulous Consulting Services LLC is Hiring an Equipment specialist Near Albany, GA

We are looking for a responsible Equipment Specialists to join our team in Albany, GA. The qualified candidate will demonstrate the ability to support the PMOs and PMTs by providing efficient and effective logistics recommendations as it pertains across the requirements.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Review and edit documents related to the Acquisition Milestone process (i.e., maintenance, fielding, and sustainment).
  • Provide support for the provisioning of new and modified systems shall include making recommendations to Statement of Works (SOW) that will be used to procure appropriate Logistics Management Information (LMI) data, and include attending provisioning guidance conferences and provisioning planning conferences, as needed, to assist in clarifying data requirements.
  • Support the initial cataloging and continued maintenance of established management data to include the review and validation of LMI and Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP) from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), loading and reviewing data in Technical Data Management Catalyst (TDMCatalyst) in preparation for cataloging, and preparation of Joint Logistics Collaboration (JLC) documents (listed below), as needed :
  • Support fielding and Independent Logistic Assessment (ILA) activities / events as required to include traveling, CONUS and OCONUS, to participate on fielding teams;

verifying and documenting receipt of shipments; and, conducting and documenting Limited Technical Inspections.

  • Maintain special projects; support the preparation of documents to open and close projects; inventory projects; and, pack and ship equipment for fielding, temporary loans, and transfers.
  • Review and update technical documentation to include support preparation of the draft SOW for contracts to Inspect and Repair Only as Necessary (IROAN) both Military Equipment (ME) and Secondary Repairables.
  • Monitor the readiness of the PfM CES portfolio of systems by utilizing TLCM-OST and / or GCSS-MC to research causes of readiness problems, document trends and reoccurring readiness issues, and make recommendations to the Government Equipment Specialist and Team Logistician, to improve readiness rates.
  • Support disposition and / or disposal of systems by coordinating and providing instructions to the customer units in the fleet.
  • Analyze technical and logistical problems received from customers and make recommendations to the PMTs for their resolution.
  • Review Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) and research and provide recommendations to the Government Equipment Specialist and Team Logistician to address the deficiencies reported.
  • Review, research, and provide recommendations for supply-related requests for Engineering Support, and coordinate with the Government Equipment Specialist, Team Logistician, and Engineer as requires.

Education and Experience :

  • Education : BS degree in business or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
  • 5 years of related progressive professional work experience in the equipment arena.
  • Must have an active TS clearance.
  • Must be proficient in MS suite; specifically Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of the following systems required : TDM-Catalyst, TDM-Pubs, Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP), FLIS, TFSMS, DLA enterprise External Business Portal (PDMI- 339 Records Management System), TLCM-OST, Microsoft Office to include Outlook, SharePoint, MS Project, and Teams, Adobe Professional, GCSS-MC, Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System, Configuration Management Professional (CMPRO)
  • Analytical skills. When evaluating suppliers, purchasing managers and buyers and purchasing agents must analyze their options and choose a supplier with the best combination of price, quality, delivery, or service.
  • Decision making skills. Purchasing managers and buyers and purchasing agents must have the ability to make informed and timely decisions, choosing products that they think will sell.
  • Math skills. Purchasing managers and buyers and purchasing agents must possess math skills. They must be able to compare prices from different suppliers to ensure that their organization is getting the best deal.
  • Negotiating skills. Purchasing managers and buyers and purchasing agents often must negotiate the terms of a contract with a supplier.

Interpersonal skills and self-confidence, in addition to knowledge of the product, can help lead to successful negotiations.

  • Must hold a Secret clearance.
  • Physical Requirements : Heavy lifting (up to 85 lbs.) may be required, as well as standing for periods of time, and walking.
