Sedona Staffing is Hiring an Accounting Manager Near Davenport, IA
Location: Iowa
Compensation: Depending on experience
We, Sedona Staffing Moline as the employer, are recruiting for an Accounting Manager position at a local Quad City Business.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and/or oversee all basic accounting procedures (A/R, A/P, G/L) including financial statement preparation, month end closing, journal entries, tax payments, inventory control, fixed assets management, margin analysis, etc.
- Serve as company liaison with auditors (annual financial and 401K audits)
- Monitor and review all records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions including reconciliation.
- Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Oversee insurance and benefit management for employees.
- Drive collections process including communication with customers to address any past due invoices and provide updates to management.
- Manage purchasing/receiving activities, personally perform non-line-of-business purchasing, liaising with vendors, and ensuring effective processes are being used.
- Act as a key member of the company's leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
- Generate financial reports and analyze data to provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in all administrative and financial activities.
- Develop and implement control processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and financial integrity.
- Help lead and coach employees who perform administrative responsibilities.
- Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field preferred
- 7 years progressive accounting experience
- Thorough knowledge of general accounting principles
- Proven supervisory and/or leadership skills.
- Demonstrated mentoring, coaching, and organizational administrative skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work and interact with other departments and client/vendor organizations.
- Strong computer aptitude, including expertise with Microsoft Excel and ERP/Accounting systems.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
