Lab Technician- Manufacturing

Hours: Full Time – Day Shift Monday - Friday
Wage: $20.00/hour

Summary:
This position performs laboratory duties including the collection and analysis of raw materials, finished products and R&D samples to ensure specifications are met. The results are used to make decisions on incoming raw materials and product shipment based on pre-established criteria. This is a direct hire position. Meaning, the right fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for their benefits package.
What you get to do (in a snap-shot):

• Responsible for assisting in the analysis of all finished products.
• Submission of food product samples to contract labs for microanalysis testing.
• Assists in the filling of all customer sample requests. Ensuring that samples are filled promptly and in a professional manner.
• Assists in the collection of food-grade raw material samples for retention.
• Assists in the cleaning, organization, and maintenance of the laboratory.
• Ensure that all activities involving food safety and quality practices are followed.

Qualifications:

• Previous Quality and working experience in a laboratory environment (preferred).
• High School Diploma
• Accuracy and attention to detail a must
• Able to stand and walk throughout the scheduled work shift.
• Able to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen as well as submit to random testing throughout the year.
