Sedona Staffing Services is Hiring a Die Cast Machine Operator Near Decorah, IA
Die Cast Machine Operator Decorah, IASalary : $19.60 depending on experienceThe Machine Operator is responsible for operating and troubleshooting zinc die cast machines that produce parts for assembly and powder coat operations.
The position will be responsible for making machine adjustments, handling hot molten zinc safely, lifting and moving production parts, troubleshooting and cleaning machines.
The Machine Operator will work with all areas of the company, specifically with supervisors, other department personnel, quality control and engineering.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Excellent attendance
- Be focused and engaged.
- Coordinate with others to perform the assigned work load within that department.
- Using tools and lifting or moving production parts.
- Making machine adjustments.
- Clean and maintain machines
- Maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. regularly.
- Excellent people skills.
- Dependable
- Basic math skills.
- General understanding of manufacturing practices.
- Must be able to read and comprehend written and verbal work instructions.
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
- Capacity to take direction.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to work mandatory overtime as required.
Education and Training
- Eighteen years of age and either a high school diploma or GED.
