JOB DESCRIPTION

Dishwasher/Prep Cook works with kitchen staff mainly washing dishes with other prep work included. This job will assist in ensuring the food service from the Sedona Community Center is top quality and prepared in a clean and healthy kitchen following all city, state, and county health and safety standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Set up kitchen needs for the day, 3 part sink and coffee for dining room, among other duties.

· Assist in packaging Meals on Wheels coolers and hot bags for delivery. Making sure hot bags have bricks and coolers have ice. Bring in hot bags and coolers at the end of the day and sanitize them.

· Wash dishes, silverware, pots, pans, etc. Making sure all silverware and glasses are spot free for dining room.

· Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation. Sanitize areas likely to transmit germs such as light switches and doorknobs.

· Help to keep shelves in the kitchen and pantry neat, clean, and organized.

· Make sure all equipment, countertops and surface areas in the kitchen are wiped down properly every day before leaving for the day.

· Set up and tear down dining room tables and chairs from daily lunch and make sure floors are swept. Assist in setting up rooms for events.

Sedona Community Center is a 501 (c )3 non-profit organization mainly dealing with Meals on Wheels deliveries. We are located at 2615 Melody Lane in West Sedona. The job is a Monday through Friday position roughly 30 to 35 hours a week. The typical schedule would be 8am to 2pm. Position offers sick time and vacation time, but no other benefits. Pay will depend on your experience and background. English must be fluent.
