Job Description

An armed security officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors. The officer will be required to carry a firearm and must be trained in the proper use of the weapon. The officer will be responsible for patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to any incidents that may occur. The officer will also be responsible for enforcing company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and alarms, and respond to any incidents that may occur.
• Enforce company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws.
• Respond to emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fires, and natural disasters.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver's license.
• Must possess a valid Texas Commissioned Security Officer License.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a clean criminal record.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
