Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Site Manager, this is a uniformed, Shift Supervisor function charged with performing the duties of an unarmed security guard, while providing oversight of shift operations on a major county-level security program, This individual shall be responsible for overall shift activities and shall serve as the central point of contact in the absence of the Account. This individual shall have had at least 1 year of administrative and/or supervisory experience in security or law enforcement administration and operations in the armed forces/ military security police or civilian security operations. The nature and extent of this experience shall be such that the individual is familiar with and capable of effectively supervising shift operations on relatively similar security program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a minimum of one (1) full year of experience as a Shift Supervisor / Lead Officer performing in a similar role
• Must be able to perform all duties outlined in post orders for Unarmed Security Guard
• Must possess a current VA DCJS Security Guard Registration (Mandatory).
• US Citizenship or legal residency.
• GED / High School Diploma or higher.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be poised and able to function effectively within high volume, high traffic environment.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to pass physical exam and drug screening.
• Ability to walk / stand for extended periods of time.
• Must possess a Current Valid Photo ID or Drivers License.
• Must possess reliable means of transportation.
• Must possess a working and reliable telephone number.
• Must we able and willing to provide verifiable employment references.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to keep records and prepare accurate and timely reports both manually and through automated methods. Reports include, but are not limited to daily activity logs, shift reports, incident/accident reports, etc.
• Must be able to generate disciplinary actions for employee violations
