Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Summer AmeriCorps Team. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on communities and gain valuable experience in community service and leadership. This is a paid position that offers a unique opportunity to serve others while developing your skills and making a difference in the lives of those in need

Duties:

• Assist with planning and implementing community service projects
• Collaborate with team members to develop and execute project goals
• Participate in training sessions to enhance leadership and communication skills
• Document project progress and outcomes for reporting purposes
• Members prepare for and hand out food at distributions throughout our service area
• Serve meals at sites
• Monitor for site compliance with federal and state rules
• Complete necessary paperwork for the food bank to claim reimbursement for the meals distributed

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid Drivers License
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Commitment to serving others and making a positive impact on communities
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and schedules

A good candidate to be an AmeriCorps Member would be someone that cares about their community and likes to do service work. A member should have resiliency and sense of urgency to meet the needs of their neighbors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to build their resume with service experience for college or scholarships. You receive a living stipend while you serve and earn an education award to help pay for college or pay federal student loans. This is a short-term contract to do 300 service hours between May 28th and Aug 9th. You receive $3000 living stipend and a $1500 education award. You must apply through Equal Heart dot org
