Responsibilities:
Shipping role is to accurately and efficiently ship product to our customers while processing shipments in our shipping systems. This entails reading and correctly interpreting job shipment requirements, choosing the proper packaging for designated shipping methods, preparing skids for shipment, and making local deliveries. This is a production job requiring the operator to stand for eight or more hours a day.
Warehouse role is to deliver loads to various work cells within the plant to maximize machine efficiency and assist factory floor with workload.
The ideal candidate has experience in warehousing: using shipping software, operating forklifts, using skid wrappers and driving a straight truck.
Duties & Abilities:
Read and understand the production job ticket, shipping lists and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Count and fill orders accurately
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Works well independently as well as in a team environment
Operate forklifts, and electric pallet jacks
Push or pull skids of product using a manual pallet jack
Ability to Lift up to 60 pounds occasionally, lift 10 pounds repeatedly
Experience and Educational Requirements:
General knowledge of shipping carriers and services
One-year experience in Shipping/Delivery Driver
Forklift experience is preferred
Good driving record
High School education or equivalent professional experience
Ability to read a ruler and apply basic math skills
