General Summary: The Residence Life Office & Operations Manager provides overall operations management and leadership for the Office of Residence Life (ORL). They also provide administrative and clerical support to the Director of Residence Life, general reception and supervision of office worker staff; handles email and telephone inquiries and provides administrative support to the Dean of Students for Community Life for Student Conduct and the Student Support Team.
Job duties include:
Administrative Support for the Director of Residence Life
Assist the Director of Residence Life (DRL) in the performance of administrative responsibilities, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, composing correspondence, coordinating travel, meeting and event arrangements, composing meeting agendas, assisting with Residence Life meetings and interfacing with University constituencies and the public.
ORL Operations Management
In partnership with campus departments, manage and support key ORL operational tasks, including coordination and training for check-in/out, coordination of quarterly residence fire drills, communication of residential access permissions and residential facilities reporting and response. Manage professional staff transitions. Participates as member of ORL Administrative Leadership
ORL Office Management
Manage overall office environment to ensure welcoming, positive and responsive engagement with students, parents, guests and the broader University. Primary management of office reception and phones, response to the general ORL email address, records maintenance and ordering and maintaining office and printer supplies. Oversees hiring, training, and supervision of student employees. Creation and maintenance of ORL meeting and on-call calendars and staff directories.
Department Technology & Software Application Oversight
Responsible for managing all department technology and software applications related to the work of Residence Life, including department use of StarRez, Confluence, Banner, EMS, SharePoint, Formstack, Interview Exchange and Argos.
Manage department technology projects and equipment.
ORL Website & Communication:
Manage and maintain ORL website content, including the residential section of the Student Handbook. Create and manage department social media. Compose and send campus-wide department communications.
Student Conduct & Student Support Team Support
Support the Dean of Students for Community Life and the Director of Residence Life in management of the Student Conduct Process and Student Support Team, including StarRez database management, case assignment, task completion tracking, reporting and response to disciplinary clearance requests.
ORL Budget & Finance Support
Assist with resource/budget management for Residence Life by using Argos, Banner and other data management software. Complete University paperwork for financial, accounting and personnel/payroll procedures.

Annual pay: $50,000 - $52,000 DOE ($24.04 - $25.00 per hour)
