Position Summary

Position open until filled. First Review of materials will begin: June 1, 2024

Salary range for this position is: $46,620/yr. - $62,592/yr. (depending on experience)

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

The Fiscal Analyst 2 in the International Programs Department works independently under general supervision of the Director of International Fiscal Services.

This position performs general and specialized fiscal duties including, but not limited to:

  • Process incoming and outgoing student wire transfers and electronic payments
  • Manage third party students including setup and management within ctcLink
  • Financial review for Global Marketing Agreement Application

This position is full-time, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00am – 4:30pm. Position is hybrid with three days in-office and two days remote.

What you will be working on:

  • Review, analyze and audit: bank wire confirmations, receipts, and disbursements of revenue received relating to IP financial matters, such as student tuition and housing.
  • Performs fiscal duties such as financial report analysis, accounts payable-receivable, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Prepare, review and process business and financial reports and documents, including but not limited to: inter-departmental charges, purchase requisitions, and invoice vouchers.
  • Maintain and modify fiscal record keeping systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Manage all aspects related to third-party students, including communications with sponsors.
  • Review and approve agency banking information and federal tax forms for Global Marketing Agreement Application, including communications with agencies, as well as routine communications related to commissions and bonuses.
  • Maintain and routinely audit housing occupancy records, including processing of utility bills.
  • Responds to inquiries from various offices within International Programs, such as: Advising, Admissions, Housing, Marketing & Outreach, Short-Term Programs, as well as the Seattle Colleges Institute of English and the registrars offices.
  • Review, analyze, verify, and correct (as needed) the posted accounting activity in ctcLink for student accounts, including assisting international students by answering financial related inquiries.
  • Corresponds by phone and email with international and domestic agents and other IP partners.
  • Participate in department and campus teams.
  • Executes other administrative support duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate collection of Pro-Card monthly reconciliations and maintain required documents in files.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What you bring as a candidate: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)

  • Associates' degree and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in Accounting OR, a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field AND any amount of related work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting procedures and the use of automated accounting systems.
  • Adept at manipulating various software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and Adobe Acrobat
  • Willingness to learn new finance related systems, such as: FMS Query, ctcLink, CashPro Online, and Flywire
  • Ability to work and process data in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Ability to create, maintain and work in a nearly paperless environment
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and to complete assigned work
  • Demonstrated evidence of strong organizational skills; superior attention to detail; ability to prioritize work and to modify schedule as needed
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Superior analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office
  • Demonstrated skills in providing exceptional customer service to persons from diverse backgrounds, such as racial, ethnic, religious, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic, and diverse physical and learning disabilities.
  • Willingness to cross-training in other IP Finance functions.

Physical Requirements:

The Position

  • Typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to Perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office.
  • Encounters frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
  • Is regularly required to provide 1:1 support, present to small groups, and work at a computer exercising repetitive hand motion with or without reasonable accommodation.
