Seattle Childrens Hospital is Hiring a Research Data Analyst Near Seattle, WA

Responsibilities

Provide data analysis support for assigned research center. Primary responsibilities include: helping design new studies, performing power calculation, analyzing data, writing reports, describing data analysis results, and helping to write portions of manuscripts. The Research Data Analyst is involved primarily in clinical and/or epidemiologic studies, including outcome studies, and may also collaborate on some basic science and experimental studies.

The Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Analytics in Research (BEAR) Core works in collaborative partnerships across the entire research institute to provide comprehensive data management, analytics, and statistical, epidemiologic, and qualitative expertise for the advancement of pediatric research and care. We are looking for a Research Data Analyst with experience in qualitative methodologies to join our team in supporting qualitative research studies here at the research institute. This position will involve: (1) Consulting and coordinating qualitative study projects based on different research approaches and methodologies; (2) participating in the development, planning and execution of qualitative research projects under the guidance of senior mentorship; (3) developing interview guides, codebooks, and analysis plans in collaboration with research and mentorship team, (4) conducting qualitative interviews, coding, an analysis; and (5) participating in grant development and manuscripts under the guidance of senior mentorship.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Biology, or related field, to include: Formal training in applied statistical analysis (e.g., through coursework in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or other related field).
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience assisting with and/or coordinating clinical research protocols, creating datasets, performing applied statistical analysis, and writing up results of analyses.
  • Experience using statistical software (e.g. SAS, S-Plus, SPSS, and/or Stata).

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology or related field, with training in applied statistical analysis.
  • Basic knowledge regarding genetics.
  • Genetic epidemiology or statistical genetics experience.
  • Experience with immunocompromised patients and basic understanding of principles of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Min to Max Hourly Salary

$33.41 - $50.11 /hr

Min to Max Annual Salary

$69,492.80 - $104,228.80 /yr

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children’s offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
