Seatrium Amfels Inc. is Hiring a Quality Systems Specialist Near Brownsville, TX

Job Summary

  • Perform Internal Quality Audits within the context of the Quality ISO9001, 14001, AISC and ABMS 37001 standards. Provides insight into the development and implementation of a total quality management system in line with leading practice to ensure compliance of policies and procedures throughout the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports teams performing Continuous Improvement Projects & Procedures
  • Performs internal audits and assist team in performing internal audits for compliance to the ISO9001,ISO14001,OHSAS 18001/ISO45001 and AISC standards
  • Manage and Control Quality and Compliance Procedures, work Instructions, forms and Policies.
  • Manage the Document Control process for the Compliance, Quality and Anti-Bribery Management System. Archive Records.
  • Assist in coordination of Quality, Anti-Bribery and Compliance Training Sessions per KOM Policy requirements.
  • Manage the Gage Calibration System for gages used for Construction of projects and yard equipment.
  • Assists in coordinating the Compliance training and reporting the status per KOM requirements.
  • Assist as required during GIA and CSA audits conducted by KOM at KAM, and assist in report out or transmission of records.
  • Retain training records conducted by Dept.
  • Retain department Minutes of Meetings.
  • Issue Monthly Toolbox Compliance Newsletter
  • Assist inter-departmental training to implement company-wide programs
  • Participates in ABMS & QHSE scheduled Internal Audits

Experience and Knowledge

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a Production/Manufacturing environment
  • Possess knowledge of problem solving tools (ex: 8D, 5 whys’s, pareto analysis, etc.)
  • Possess knowledge of the use of Deming cycle (PDCA)
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisor role in Production /Manufacturing preferred.
  • Possess knowledge of ISO9001, 14001, and OSHAS 18001 preferred.

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word)
  • Teamwork Oriented
  • Leadership and Mentoring Skills
  • Ability to Read Engineering Drawings preferred
  • Ability to perform time studies
  • Ability to work with AutoCAD 2D
  • English and Spanish (Bilingual)
  • Ability to work outdoors in a shipyard environment
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills

Education Qualification

  • Associate’s Degree in related field required Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Manufacturing Engineering or related field preferred
