Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms, stress tests, and other cardiovascular diagnostic procedures
- Assist with invasive procedures such as cardiac catheterization and angioplasty
- Monitor patients during procedures and report any significant findings to the physician
- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of cardiovascular equipment
- Document and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide patient education and instructions for pre- and post-procedure care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited cardiovascular technician program
- Certification as a Cardiovascular Technician (CCT) or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular lab or similar setting
- Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology
- Experience with cardiovascular equipment and technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Current CPR certification
