Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Plant Accountant to join our team in Savannah, GA. The Plant Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial and accounting operations related to our plant's production and materials. This includes managing material tickets, processing material payments, handling inventory management, tracking plant production, and performing month-end reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Material Management: Oversee and manage material tickets and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Inventory Control: Maintain and reconcile inventory records, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of inventory levels.
• Plant Production Accounting: Monitor and account for plant production, ensuring all production data is accurately recorded and reported.
• Month-End Reconciliations: Perform month-end close procedures, including reconciliations.
• Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with company policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's degree in Accounting is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting. Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus but not required.
• Technical Skills: Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• This position is in office and salaried by non exempt. Overtime is occasional and paid at 1.5X
