JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all accounting related functions on multiple projects.
- Coordinates general ledger transactions (payables, receivables, payroll, fixed assets, and reconciliations.)
- Responsible for accounting procedures, internal controls (implementing, monitoring, enhancing) and Development system management.
- Responsible for Job cost tracking, analysis and reporting.
- Prepares job cost and transaction reports, and analyzes and assists management in cost control measures.
- Assists on special projects as requested; assists with yearly audit preparation.
- Interface with Project Managers and management on all aspects of construction accounting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a minimum of five years of progressive construction accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Background in construction accounting, revenue recognition, and job costing/Construction in Progress (CIP) preferred but NOT required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
- Proficient in QuickBooks or other accounting software
