Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the go-to authority on all EHS matters, ensuring our site adheres to the highest standards.
  • Secure, manage, and update EHS permits and documentation, staying ahead of local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Enhance EHS systems efficiency, keeping our operations seamless and compliant.
  • Spearhead the creation and execution of EHS initiatives that align with regulatory demands, promoting a culture of safety and environmental respect.
  • Lead hazard identification processes and collaborate with teams to design and implement preventive measures.
  • Conduct detailed safety audits, guiding continuous improvement through precise corrective action plans.
  • Expand and deliver our training curriculum, empowering employees with knowledge on safe work practices and emergency response.
  • Oversee incident analysis, crafting strategies to prevent recurrence and fortify safety protocols.
  • Draft and maintain comprehensive EHS policies and procedures, ensuring all materials and practices meet OSHA Hazard Communication standards.

Qualities and Skills Needed:

  • A self-starter, blending motivation with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Analytical thinker with adept problem-solving capabilities.
  • Confident in training and engaging with teams, enhancing safety awareness.
  • Solid understanding of EHS regulations (knowledge of OSHA, EPA, RCRA a plus).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or related fields.
  • At least three years of direct EHS experience, preferably in the flavor, food, chemical, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing EHS programs in a relevant industry setting.

Position Details:

  • Full-time position, offering a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and more.

  • 8-hour shift schedule, in-person work location.
