Summary: Drives truck with a capacity of more than 25 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Actively participate in Oregon Metal Services's Safety Program.
Adhere to the scheduled load time
Inspect truck: Pre and Post check Truck
Verify loads by visual and documentation
Secure load: Strapping and Tarping
Assist Loaders with loading and unloading if necessary

Qualifications

Education/Experience
CDL Class A driver’s license and completed truck driving courses with a certificate of completion with at least two-year related experiences and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Math Ability
Ability to add and subtract and read a tape measure
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Eroad software or the wiliness to learn.
