First Mate Printing & Converting, Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Offset Press Operator to join our team. We are located in Gardner, MA and have 1st and 2nd shift positions open!
Schedule:
- 1st shift, Monday-Friday 7 AM-3 PM
- 2nd shift, Monday-Friday 3 PM- 11 PM, plus a $2 shift differential
- 3rd shift, Monday- Friday 11 Pm- 7 AM, plus a $3 shift differential
The Ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge and ability to run the following Presses:
- Ryobi 520 GX, 4-color
- Ryobi 520 GE, 2-color
Additional duties include:
- Setting up and operating offset printing presses
- Performing routine and minor maintenance work
- Making adjustments and lubricating the printing operations
- Maintaining pressroom equipment
- Developing and maintaining the correct pressure and registration between the plates
- Inspecting work in progress and finished materials
- Resolving technical problems with presses and inks
- Obtaining or mixing inks and filling ink fountains
