Summary:

The IT Business Systems Analyst responsible for supporting the implementation of Veeva Vault applications at Seagen by eliciting and documenting scope, processes, and requirements; acting as subject matter expert where appropriate; and providing ongoing process and enhancement business analyst support post-implementation.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytic support for technology needs of various levels of complexity up to and including large, multi-year, cross-functional projects
  • Collaborates in the planning, design, configuration, and deployment of new applications, as well as enhancements to existing applications
  • Leads analysis activities for technology projects, including business and process analysis, user interviews, requirements workshops, process analysis, data analysis, and document analysis
  • Assesses, defines scope, and provides solution options/recommendations for technology projects
  • Works with customers to elicit and document requirements. These include, but are not limited to, business requirements, use cases / user stories, functional requirements, configuration requirements, data and reporting requirements and integration requirements
  • Creates or contributes to test case development and execution
  • Executes and supports the customers in executing test cases
  • Facilitates the collection, analysis, and prioritization of enhancement requests
  • Seek opportunities to automate and improve technical process efficiency. Participate in GxP validation/qualification of systems including writing, reviewing, and executing validation protocols
  • Take complex technical concepts and articulate them to audiences of varying perception levels Partner with IT cross functional teams and develop effective working relationships with internal customers and vendors
  • Author and refine system support processes, operational procedure documents, flow diagrams, configurations, and interdependencies
  • Participate in GxP validation/qualification of systems including writing, reviewing, and executing validation protocols

  • Develop effective working relationships with our internal customers and vendors during project meetings, on-site visits, and conference calls
  • Assists our internal customers in developing working scenarios for testing
  • Communicate support issues, solutions, and progress to management
  • Manage the application integrations across enterprise Veeva Vault Platform
  • Identify gaps between business needs and technical capabilities; work to find innovative solutions that meet business objectives or create new business opportunities
  • Represent the needs of our customers to the solution vendor(s)

Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting and implementing large scale IT solutions
  • Experience supporting a Veeva Vault Platform, specifically, Veeva Quality, Clinical & Regulatory suite
  • Experience in interpreting compliance protocols and translating requirements into software specifications including writing and reviewing technical documentation
  • Provide subject matter expertise on the Veeva Vault product functionality and APIs
  • Proven knowledge of IT solutions and application management through various product cycles and business environments
  • Ability to prioritize and quickly adapt to changing situations
  • Strong people skills, with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated technical understanding of application architecture to include application servers, web servers, configuration files, relational databases, SQL, and reporting applications
  • Has a great understanding and thorough knowledge of System Architecture, Integration and Master Data management
  • Experience in creating Roles, Users, Groups, Security Profiles and utilizing Vault API for Bulk Migrations

Preferred:

  • Previous experience supporting a Veeva Vault system
  • Familiarity and experience with Vault Quality Suite Modules
  • Familiarity with biotech/pharma business processes and applications
  • Experience working in the life sciences industry
  • Experience working in the drug development, clinical trial, drug safety, medical affairs, or regulatory domain of life sciences industry is highly preferred
  • Experience working on validated systems in accordance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Previous experience supporting a Veeva Vault Clinical system
  • Familiarity and experience with Vault Quality Suite Modules
  • Familiarity with biotech/pharma business processes and applications
  • Familiarity with GxP and ICH regulations and 21CFR, Part 11

Education and Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience with master’s degree or 5 years of experience with bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience

The hiring pay range for this position is $109,000 - $141,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
