Job DescriptionJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Controls Installation Assistant Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC controls installation projects. Working closely with project managers and installation teams, you will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and project management principles.
Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Assist project managers in planning and coordinating HVAC controls installation projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and task assignment.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction throughout the installation process.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to installation teams, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that all installations meet industry standards and client requirements.
  • Budget Management: Assist in monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections to ensure installations are completed according to specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, progress reports, change orders, and closeout documents.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and timely resolution of challenges.
  • Training and Development: Support the training and development of installation teams, providing guidance on best practices, new technologies, and safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HVAC controls installation, or related field. Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and controls preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and installation techniques. Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and develop practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to achieve common goals.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), project management software, and HVAC controls software.
Certifications:
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) preferred.
  • HVAC or controls-related certifications (e.g., HVAC Technician Certification, Controls Technician Certification) a plus.
