Seabrook Hospitality is Hiring an Events Bartender Near Pacific Beach, WA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled On-Call Events Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to guests during various events hosted by our organization. From weddings to corporate functions, our events bartenders play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our clients and guests.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of catering events, including but not limited to weddings, corporate events, and private parties.
  • Serve beverages to guests with professionalism and attention to detail, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, addressing any inquiries or special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including holding a valid Washington State Food Workers Card and a Class 12 Permit.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic beverages to guests during events, following recipes and proper pouring techniques.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the side station area, including stocking and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Clear tables and clean banquet room after events, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored.
  • Communicate effectively with the Events team and other staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Responsible for the completion of the bar setup and breakdown before and after events.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following sanitation and safety guidelines.
  • Protects the organization, members and guests by adhering to all safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage and alcohol beverage control policies, including Washington State Health and Liquor Department regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of any and all supplies that need to be ordered as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a solution-oriented approach to guest issues.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work and educational experience.
  • Proven experience as a Bartender or similar role in a banquet or high-volume kitchen setting.
  • WA Food Workers Card required and Class 12 Permit required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to stand and walk moderate distances for the entire shift.

Employment Status: On-Call

Hourly Rate: $18 per hour plus gratuity charges applied to banquet functions offering food & beverage. All gratuity is split equally amongst all Events staff.
