Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as the General Manager of our Drug Consortium and Compliance Services Division. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with US Coast Guard (USCG) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations regarding drug and alcohol testing. The successful candidate will oversee the administration and management of our drug consortium.
Responsibilities:
· Consortium Membership: Manage consortium membership, including enrollment, renewal, and termination processes for member individuals and companies.
· Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with third-party vendors, such as testing laboratories and medical review officers, to ensure quality services and compliance with contractual obligations.
· Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of USCG and DOT regulations pertaining to drug and alcohol testing, ensuring that the consortium program is in full compliance at all times.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of members, drug testing results, employee consent forms, and other pertinent documentation required by USCG and DOT regulations.
· Training and Education: Provide training and educational resources to employees and supervisors regarding DOT drug testing requirements, policies, and procedures.
· Compliance Audits: Conduct regular audits of the consortium program to assess compliance with DOT regulations and identify areas for improvement.
· Communication: Maintain open communication channels with consortium members, employees, and regulatory agencies regarding drug testing program updates, policy changes, and compliance issues.
· Business Development: Seek ways to expand consortium membership.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred)
· Demonstrated experience in managing DOT consortium programs, similar regulatory compliance programs or thorough understanding of DOT regulations related to drug and alcohol testing (e.g., 49 CFR Part 40) is helpful.
· Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees, supervisors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
