Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team for our Montessori Summer Camp program. As a Summer Camp teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging environment for children to learn, grow, and have fun. This is a paid position that offers valuable experience in childhood development and education.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times
- Assist with the implementation of age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts based on the weekly theme in a Montessori environment.
- Assist with the implementation of educational programming
- Foster positive relationships with campers, parents, and staff
- Provide guidance and support to campers in their personal growth
- Manage behavior and maintain discipline within the classroom setting
- Ensure campers follow safety rules and procedures
- Administer basic first aid when necessary
Skills:
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles
- Experience in classroom management or working with groups of children
- Ability to engage and connect with children ages 18 months to 6 years old
- Background in special education or early childhood education is beneficial
- First aid and CPR certification is preferred
