Network Administrator II - Posting #24486

Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00

Position Summary:

Full-time position available immediately. This position is located at our Delaware Medical Clinic in Vancouver, Clark County. We are looking for an experienced Network Administrator II responsible for managing all aspects of network administration, including routers, switches, border devices (including anti-virus and anti-spam), wireless access points and control systems, and oversight for connectivity issues including vendor interface. This includes design, architecture, implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring and development of specialized network procedures.

The Network Administrator must carry out network independently with a sound understanding of the interactions between hardware, operating system software and network operations and the design and administrative requirements to ensure an efficient, reliable, secure infrastructure. Work is performed and technical decisions made with latitude for independent judgment. In addition, the Network Administrator II may assist junior team members with tasks, mentoring and training. Other IT and network related work will be assigned as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, Analyze configure, install and maintain network services and network equipment at the LAN and WAN level.
  • Conduct network security risk assessments including the monitoring, investigation and reporting of security and access violations.
  • Perform system vulnerability assessments and conduct trade off studies to recommend methods on countering threats to systems
  • Review system performance statistics; perform system modifications and fixes
  • Perform research, test and evaluation of vendor hardware and software products
  • Perform feasibility studies, develop system, time, equipment, and cost requirements.
  • Perform systems security administration functions as directed, including creating customer profiles and accounts
  • Monitor and manage network resources, including bandwidth usage, to maintain operating efficiency
  • Maintain network documentation and logs
  • Perform or assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing production problems; correct identified problems
  • Administer secure network links with public key encryption, user authentication and intrusion detection
  • Provide monitoring and primary response and intervention for information network-related security incidents and violations.
  • Manage and support secure Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
  • Document network related policies and procedures including security.
  • Keep current with new network security protocols, products, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Data Center Management and Support
  • Possible off-hours support on rotating basis with other staff members
  • Other IT and network related work as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 3 - 7 years demonstrated experience as a Network Administrator
  • Demonstrated experience with LAN/WAN/SD-WAN configurations to include documented experience with Cisco routers & Cisco, Meraki & Brocade switches, Internet firewalls, and wireless technology.
  • Demonstrated experience with network security products and tools

Desired:

  • Experience supporting telephone systems and services.
  • Experience supporting VoIP solutions

Education and/or Licenses:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Valid Washington Driver's License and automobile insurance
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
