Job duties of the Grant Accountant
- Review GL and contracts to ensure allowable cost
- Prepare financial reports for governmental and funding agencies
- Invoice funding agencies and ensure accuracy with all coding
- Approve all grant expenditures - ensure expenses fall within grant guidelines and budgets
- Additional accounting needs as requested
Preferred Qualifications of the Grant Accountant
- Prior experience in nonprofit and grant accounting is a must
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
