SE Neighborhood Sch of Excellence is Hiring a Primary ENL Teacher Near Indianapolis, IN

SENSE Charter School is a vibrant and inclusive community seeking a dedicated Elementary ENL Teacher to join our team for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year. We are looking for a passionate educator who is committed to inspiring young minds and fostering a love of learning in students. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, demonstrate innovative teaching methods, and possess the ability to adapt to the individual needs of each student.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Use current curriculum that fosters the Science of Reading (CKLA)
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
  • Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and disciplinary systems.
  • Embrace Responsive Classroom model
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
  • Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
  • Organize and participate in school events, outings, and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant field.
  • Valid teaching license for the appropriate grade level or transcripts indicating graduation requirements have been met for an Elementary Teaching License.
  • Proven experience as a teacher in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures.
  • Strong communicative and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-organized and committed.
  • Creative and energetic.
  • Strong moral values and discipline.
