The Pipe Fitter/Pipe Layer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. This includes laying pipes underground, installing pipes in buildings, and repairing damaged pipes. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of piping materials and techniques, as well as strong hands-on skills.
- Lay pipes underground in accordance with blueprints and specifications.
- Install pipes in buildings, including water, sewer, and gas lines.
- Repair damaged pipes.
- Inspect and maintain piping systems.
- Use hand and power tools to cut, bend, and weld pipes.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations.
- Work as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in pipe fitting or pipe laying.
- Working knowledge of piping materials and techniques.
- Strong hands-on skills.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and specifications.
