Construction Project Manager
Duties and Responsibilities: The Construction Project Manager (Facility Engineer) will provide project management of major and/or minor project and alteration services as requested by the Client. The projects could be as simple as workspace alterations or creating bid specifications for one-time deferred maintenance issues for roofs, asphalt and concrete repair, plumbing, electrical and HVAC or as complex as full oversight and management of commissioning, architectural and engineering design services and implementation for complex construction projects. These projects could include everything from new construction and additions to comprehensive overhauls of older buildings, including buildings classified under the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA). Reports to Site Project Manager and Regional Operations Manager.
Alteration/Capital Project Management Support includes:
review project plans for compliance with building standards and systems
create scope and specifications for projects to develop a Request for Proposal (RFP)
solicit competitive pricing via issuance of an RFP
review and analyze bids and contractor qualifications
process contract documents to award and prosecute projects
attend project planning meetings and other meetings with Client and contractors as required
perform Quality Control inspections during all phases of construction to enforce schedule and compliance with scope
maintain meticulous records in project folders with complete data of bids, scope, subcontractors, etc. for each project
approve invoices from vendors and subcontractors
other related duties as required for construction project management
Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional overtime during afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed for emergencies.

The position is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as hot and/or cold weather conditions, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. Also, bending, stooping and occasional light lifting to accomplish tasks. Walking particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
