Substitute Teacher needed at The SD School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. This position reports to the Principal.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Implement daily educational program
- Monitor, evaluate and record student progress
- Provide adequate and constructive student supervision
- Carry out student behavior programs
- Maintain flexibility, initiative, professionalism, and enthusiasm
- Organize and sustain planned activities
Ability to :
- Communicate both orally and in writing
- Maintain confidentiality
- Assist with lifting and / or transporting of students with physical needs
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Works effectively with co-workers and students
Incumbent will be required to undergo a background investigation before employment begins. An arrest / conviction record will not necessarily bar employment.
Incumbent will be required to provide documentation of MMR vaccination.
