GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will maintain, repair and trouble-shoot the biogas cluster and its processes. Work involves responsibility for equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance for plant operations, in compliance with state regulations. Work is performed with considerable independence under the direction of the Lead Operator, subject to review through work orders, reports and results achieved. This is a safety-sensitive position.

· 3 years relevant plant maintenance experience

· Biogas operations experience: 1 year (Preferred)

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

To maintain, repair and trouble-shoot the biogas cluster and its processes. Work involves responsibility for equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance for plant operations, in compliance with state regulations. Work is performed with considerable independence under the direction of the Lead Operator, subject to review through work orders, reports and results achieved. This is a safety-sensitive position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintain and troubleshoot equipment throughout the cluster

· Perform daily checks and walkthroughs

· Perform and complete work orders and maintenance schedules

· Perform the installation, maintenance and repair of the physical plant and pump stations and all their components.

· Oversee and complete regular and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment and machinery.

· On call to respond to emergencies and breakdowns at the cluster and remote pump stations.

· Perform all work in conformance to Occupational Safety and Health Act regulations.

· Maintain open communications with the Lead Operator regarding the status of equipment and any malfunctions, as well as make recommendations for repairs and improvements to these systems.

· Be able to perform and document maintenance activities

· Actively participates in the plant safety program.

· Utilizes work orders and work requests through CMMS software.

·Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

· Have a working knowledge of the maintenance and mechanics

· Have a working knowledge of the machinery used for manure treatment

· Have a thorough knowledge of mechanical equipment and the ability to diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions.

· Have a working knowledge of basic machinery preventive maintenance and repair.

· Have the ability to work with independence and to make routine decisions on the operation of the plant processes and equipment during the Lead Operator’s absence.

· Knowledge of the mechanical, biological, and chemical processes involved in the operations of manure digestion.

· Knowledge of the occupational hazards in biogas plants and safety measures to be implemented.

· Ability to work with raw manure and chemicals using normal protective equipment.

· Basic knowledge of SCADA systems and basic Microsoft Office software

· Ability to work as part of a team and deal effectively with people at all levels.

· Ability to work in a wide variety of weather conditions and exposure to the elements.

· Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50 lbs.) short distances (100 feet or less).

· Ability to work in small, cramped spaces and comply with confined space entry procedures.

· Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
