As a Cognition Robot SW Engineer at Scythe, you'll help our robots plan what to do, when to do it, and how to interact with the landscaping operators and Scythe employees who make up the human side of the human-robot team. We're going beyond the "one robot, one field" paradigm. Our vision is for a team of humans and robots to collaborate on big, complicated landscaping jobs, with multiple mowing areas and complex interactions between humans and robots. On the Cognition team, you'll plan and orchestrate this work.
You’ll work in concert with teammates from across the company to build a rich understanding of M.52's high-level planning needs and bring those ideas to life. We expect you to be broadly experienced to be able to “see around corners”, to thrive in a fast-paced, self-managed engineering environment, and to be a collaborative, low-ego teammate who helps Scythe realize its big mission.
