Responsibilities:

- Provide interpretation services to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients who have limited English proficiency.
- Interpret spoken language, including medical terminology, accurately and impartially.
- Translate written materials such as medical records, consent forms, and other relevant documents.
- Assist with documentation review and ensure accuracy of translated materials.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and ethics.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure effective communication and patient care.

Requirements:

- Fluency in English and Spanish language.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Familiarity with cultural nuances and sensitivity to diverse populations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Previous experience as a medical interpreter or in a related field is preferred but not required.
- Completion of a medical interpreter training program is a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 30 per week
