Script Care LTD is Hiring a Pharmacy Technician - Customer Service Near Beaumont, TX

 

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a Customer Service Pharmacy Technician at our mail order pharmacy, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications to patients through mail order services. You will work closely with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and other team members to ensure the safe and timely delivery of prescriptions while upholding our core values of integrity, compassion, dedication, collaboration, and resourcefulness. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to providing excellent customer service will contribute to the overall success of our mail order pharmacy operations.

This position will report to the Clinical Services Manager.

KEY TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prescription Processing:

• Embrace integrity by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of prescription information, including patient details, medication name, dosage, and quantity.

• Demonstrate compassion by prioritizing patient needs and ensuring the timely processing of prescription orders.

• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies or concerns, displaying dedication to quality service.

2. Customer Service:

• Provide compassionate and professional customer service, treating patients and healthcare providers with empathy and respect.

• Display collaboration by actively listening to inquiries, concerns, and requests, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues promptly.

• Show dedication to patient well-being by addressing medication-related inquiries.

3. Quality Control:

• Collaborate with team members to conduct routine inspections and checks, upholding our commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.

• Emphasize collaboration by communicating any identified issues promptly and working together to implement solutions.

• Demonstrate dedication to patient safety by following established quality assurance procedures and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

• Embody integrity by adhering to federal, state, and local pharmacy laws, and regulations.

• Demonstrate dedication by staying updated with industry developments and changes in pharmacy practices through continuous learning.

• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician certification program is preferred.

• Current and valid licensure as a Registered Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee in Texas

• Maintain education and certifications as required by applicable State Board of Pharmacy

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCES AND COMPETENCIES

• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, drug terminology, and common medications.

• Proficient computer skills, including experience with pharmacy information systems and electronic prescription processing.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and medication dispensing.

• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.

• Knowledge of insurance processes, prior authorizations, and third-party billing is an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• This position operates within a clean and well-lit environment.

• May require standing or sitting for extended periods and the ability to lift and carry prescription orders or supplies.
