Full Job DescriptionScrap Metal Services, LLC in Chicago Heights, IL is looking to hire an In-Plant Spotter Driver to work night shift:Requirements:

Must be able to work night shift
Able to work weekends and holidays
Must be fluent/semi-fluent English speaker, reader, and writer
Must be able to drive a manual transmission truck
Must be safety focused
Able to work in a fast-paced working environment
Must be able to work outdoors in types of weather

Preferred (NOT Required):

Competent Driving License (CDL)

Shift:

Night Shift
12 Hours (5pm to 5am)

Responsibilities:

Indexing gondola and dump trailers under scrap conveyor
Staging loaded gondola and dump trailers for outside contractor pickup
Weighing of loaded gondola and dump trailers on customer scale
Communicating with interplant personnel and contracted freight broker and drivers
Obtaining, creating, and tracking paperwork for all loads
Inspect tractors/trailers for mechanical items and safety issues during pre/post-shift daily inspections

Additional Responsibilities:

Employee will be on location at an off-site manufacturing facility
Employee will be responsible for indexing gondola and dump trailers under a scrap conveyor
Employee will work with another SMS employee on shift
Employee will be responsible for moving gondola trailers throughout the plant
Employee will be responsible for other duties assigned by management

Job Type: Full-TimePay: $23.00/hr
