You are the first point of contact for all new and returning guests. You exemplify customer service and provide a warm welcome to all. You enjoy helping guests have a ‘day at the spa’ being a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

What You Will Tackle:

  • Greeting guests with a warm smile and checking them in and out with the best customer service you can provide.
  • Review guest appointments and schedules as needed. Scheduling guests appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Engage with guests waiting for services and ensure their needs are met.
  • Prepare and maintain guest amenities and refreshments.
  • Issue spa lockers, robes, and slippers to guests and then escort guests to their lockers.
  • Provide orientation tours, explaining spa amenities offered, and answering guests’ questions.
  • Provide advice to the guest in their selection of treatments to ensure a smooth and proper order of service.
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of and actively promote the spa’s treatments, services, and products used and sold, as well as, programs, promotions, and/or discounts available. Assist guests with retail product selection. Promote and upsell all spa/salon services.
  • Develop professional and personalized relationships with regular guests.
  • Responsible for proper point of sale procedures and cash handling policies. Process gift certificate requests including taking orders, preparing certificates, process payment, and recording sales.
  • Relay pertinent guest information to the associated spa therapist. Provide spa therapists with an accurate daily schedule throughout the shift.
  • Assist with spa treatment preparation and clean up as needed.
  • Work with the entire spa team to achieve and maintain harmony, productivity, and a positive environment.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping for an adequate supply of robes, towels, spa guest amenities, and assure the proper stocking of guest lockers.
  • Responsible for the spa environment including background music, hospitality F&B in the relaxation lounge and members sitting area, lighting levels, and water feature.
  • Respond to membership inquiries, encourage membership sales and administer bookings.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the lounge, locker room, and other guest areas.
  • Stock supplies and amenities and maintain accurate supply lists and inventory sheets. Inform management when stock is low.
  • Distribute linen such as fresh sheets and towels in treatment rooms and assist in laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and storing in designated areas.
  • Oversee the retail area, keeping the area stocked and clean.
  • Comply with all state and local safety and health regulations.
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality in all guest matters in accordance with Hotel policy.
  • Utilize Spa computers with skill and proficiency; document guest information in electronic record as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Essentials:
  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Fluency in other languages is beneficial.
  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous Housekeeping experience is preferred, but not required.
