SCP is seeking a hotel maintenance professional to assist with our fantastic property in Redmond, OR.

The hotel maintenance professional is primarily responsible for performing various work in maintaining and repairing buildings, facilities, and equipment.

Our hotel maintenance professional shall always strive to provide exceptional service to internal and external guests. They will be responsible for exemplifying SCP’s culture and values.

The Role of Engineer 1:

  • Perform general repairs in maintenance-related disciplines, including but not limited to: carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, electrical, and finish work.
  • Prioritize work orders through urgent requests and establish hotel area down times in order to minimize inconveniencing guests.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Assisted in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, TV equipment, electronic door locks, IT equipment, and lighting systems, and made minor repairs/replacement orders.
  • Assist in checking and making routine repairs and assist with major repairs of all hotel equipment, including small appliances, kitchen equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools, and general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets, sinks, and other kitchen and bathroom equipment.
  • Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms, such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures, if needed.
  • Ensure security, cleanliness, preventive maintenance, and repair of engineering tools, equipment, and safety features, according to established procedures within budget.
  • Follow Hotel policy with lost/stolen items.
  • Participate in OSHA/Safety Programs, as needed/required.
  • Inspect, plan, and ensure that all supplies, materials and equipment are ready for service.
  • Maintain knowledge of correct maintenance procedures and use of equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Fluency in other languages is beneficial.Must be able to follow instructions, both verbally and in writing accurately.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.Must work in a fast-paced environment with urgency and empathy.
  • Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Professional in appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work within POS, PMS, CRM, and other Hospitality-specific software systems.
  • Must be able to relate effectively and interact well with guests, vendors, contractors, and team members.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems and/or conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
  • Must have a valid State-Issued Driver's License.


Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience required.
  • Previous experience working with power tools, hand tools, construction-related equipment, and construction materials.
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA requirements.
