Electrical and Lighting Service Technician

Scott Services is looking for an Electrical and Lighting Service Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position performing electrical and lighting repairs. This position is responsible for all aspects of electrical and lighting repairs, using the proper tools, equipment, and techniques for electrical and lighting installation and repair. This position is responsible for maintaining all equipment, tools, and work vehicles in good working order as well as keeping job sites and workspaces clean and safe.

Our ideal candidate is reliable, responsible, hard-working, detail-oriented, highly experienced in electrical, lighting, construction and working with a wide range of hand and power tools and manufacturing/power equipment, a self-motivated team player who can work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, and takes pride in making every project great.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3 years plus in electrical and lighting field with knowledge of 120v/277v/480v electrical systems and have installation experience on various types of electrical and lighting systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be results driven, have strong organizational skills and willingness to lend a hand
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Positive professional attitude and perform in a professional manner
  • Valid Drivers’ License with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background checks
  • Working well under pressure to output high-volume, high-quality work
  • Must be able to handle items weighing 50lbs. or more
  • Working well in a team or independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills English, speaking Spanish is a plus
  • Highly experienced with power tools, hand tools, machinery
  • Know the electrical code and be proficient in the use of circuit tester meters and various power tools, such as, drills, saws

Responsibilities and Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Operating several machines and power tools responsibly and safely, loading appropriate materials properly, making accurate cuts, and ensuring minimal waste
  • Maintaining all tools and equipment in good working order
  • Maintaining a clean safe work environment at all times
  • Reporting inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager
  • Working on different projects simultaneously
  • Establishing and maintaining effective team relationships with all support departments
  • Following all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
  • Loading and transporting signage to destination
  • Cleaning installation site post installation
  • Will install illuminated and non-illuminated signs
  • Will use manual tools and power tools (such as knives, drills, saws etc.)
  • Climbing ladders and scaffolding or working on powered lifts is expected
  • Do basic electrical wiring to code
  • Will do measuring, using measuring tapes and alignment tools such as rules, levels, squares
  • Possibility of odd hours, weekends and travel when called upon
