Locally family owned and operated Christian based business, established in 1972.
As a service technician, you will be responsible for the installation, service, and repair of residential and commercial doors, operators, and other components. Interior/Exterior man doors and garage doors. Technicians will travel to various service calls throughout the day.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical components or machine parts.
- Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Service doors.
- Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning.
- Test mechanical equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly.
- Replace springs, cables, and other items as needed.
- Replace and/or install operators.
- Program equipment
- Install new doors and windows.
- Document work performed.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Great customer service skills.
- High School Diploma, (GED), or suitable equivalent.
- Physically able to move items weighing 50-75 pounds.
- Able to bend, climb, reach, kneel, for extended periods of time.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable and self-motivated.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience Door Technician is a PLUS.
- Carpentry, repair, or installer background.
