Overview
As a part of the Corporate and Investment Banking (“CIB”) COO team, this Analyst will be responsible for supporting CIB in the day-to-day business management activities, including execution of strategic initiatives for the business, executive and board level management reporting, and acting as the liaison between the business and internal support functions. You will contribute to the overall success of the team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives, while ensuring all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do
Execute Strategic Initiatives for CIB COO: Including but not limited to project plan creation and management, business requirement solicitation, stakeholder management, and process improvement identification
Drive US CIB Management Reporting: Including but not limited to collating information from the sector teams, identifying conclusions and patterns, drafting reporting, and delivering to management in a timely and accurate manner
Own and Execute CIB Operational Activities: Including but not limited to business continuity planning and testing, CIB wide communications, compliance and internal control tracking and monitoring, banking technology tool testing, signatory management and client event coordination.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Embed continuous improvement approach. Actively works towards enhancing and developing process improvements and conducts ongoing evaluation of the existing processes and practices. Creates and maintains documented procedures and processes
Build Partnerships: Actively partner with CIB COO team, CIB leaders, sector teams and broader GBM Partners to build team dynamics and engagement across team. Manage relationships with internal support functions and have ongoing and regular dialogue with Compliance, Internal Controls, Legal, Finance, Risk, and Audit in order to provide support to the day-to-day activities of the CIB business and act as the liaison between the CIB team and the support functions when needed
Actively contribute to a high performance and inclusive work environment
What You’ll Bring
University degree Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent with 3 years of relevant financial services experience
Knowledge operations, finance, compliance, regulators, and/or IT
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills including the use of MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Project management and workstream experience is a benefit
Strong organizational skills required to support multiple priorities on a day-to-day basis
Ability to work independently and effectively with business partners
Analytical skills to assimilate complex information into a recommendation or report for executives
Self-motivated, keen sense of urgency, proactive, solutions-oriented and team-player attitude
Comfortable working at both the conceptual and the hands-on level
Demonstrated high performance track record
Able to work in a matrix/lean environment
