Scotchtown Technology is a veteran and minority owned small business located in Middletown, NY. We service a 70 mile radius of our home office. This position is a on the road position, and many times technician works independently with the help of remote support and his manager. Must have reliable transportation (preferably a truck or van) and have basic power and hand tools to complete low voltage work. We provide expense card for gas and tolls.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage systems in residential and commercial settings. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Duties:
- Install and configure low voltage systems, including security alarms, CCTV cameras, access control systems, telephone, and audio/visual equipment
- Conduct system design and construction inspection to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to effectively troubleshoot and repair low voltage systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as testing system functionality, replacing faulty components, and updating software/firmware
- Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to coordinate installation projects and ensure timely completion
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and offering recommendations for system upgrades or enhancements

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical principles and low voltage systems
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for installation and repair work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Familiarity with alarm system sales and installation processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy in system installation and configuration

Pay: $26.22 - $31.57 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
