7-10 years fully underwritten life Insurance underwriting experience
3-5 years experience with Accelerated Underwriting programs
Demonstrated ability to apply underwriting concepts and design appropriate analytic and risk management measures
Exposure to and and experience with utilizing rules based, automated underwriting systems, including development and enhancement of rules, processes and data sources.
Experience in evaluating and analyzing vendor solutions including predictive scoring tools, rules, and evolving data sources
High level of independence and self direction in addition to collaboration, correlation and attention to detail.
Ability to work within cross functional teams and disciplines Simplified or Guaranteed Issue program underwriting or development experience preferred.
Strong client facing interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and initiative skills
Problem solving skills and resourcefulness to seek and find answers and solutions
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Pivot Tables, Filtering, Formulas
Qualifications Required Education
BA/BS degree or equivalent
FALU and FLMI preferred
