Scones & Doilies is Hiring a Baker Near Lafayette, IN

Baker at Scones & Doilies

We are looking to hire baker(s) for our family owned bakery in Downtown Lafayette! Our bakers will handcraft Scones & Doilies pastries and ensure the highest level of baking standards! Bakers will have a working knowledge of all Scones & Doilies products and will help keep a clean and organized bakery.

Primary responsibilities and requirements:

  • Measure ingredients, prepare doughs, bake pastries according to recipe
  • Ability to work pastry dough by hand!
  • Ensure each batch is baked to high quality standards
  • Maintain the highest food service standards at all times
  • Cleaning and organizing of the space, cleaning tasks include doing dishes and mopping floors
  • Moderate lifting and carrying, bending and reaching overhead may be required

Our ideal candidate:

  • Baking experience required
  • Must be available to work every Saturday
  • Passion for baked goods and a working knowledge of our products and customer service
  • Highly dependable with a strong work ethic
  • Positive attitude!
  • Desire and ability to work a flexible schedule based on sales and business needs
  • Responds positively to direction and feedback
