Purpose of the Position: To provide leadership and executive management to a cohort of SCO programs that serve Adolescents, Young Adults, and their families. To serve as a member of the SCO Administrative Council to advance the mission of SCO through sustained high quality, effective programs, and planned growth.
Reports To: Vice President of Residential and Youth Justice Services
Supervises: Selected Program Directors and support personnel
Responsibilities:
The scope of Responsibility: To provide leadership and executive management to a cohort of Adolescent, Young Adult residential and non-residential community programs. To oversee the overall execution of person-centered and family-focused initiatives to support permanency; reduce recidivism; and support the transitions of youth who are aging out of care with the skills needed to function as a productive member of society, through the following programs:
The Divisional Director in sum is responsible for:
Qualifications: 5 or more years of progressively responsible management experience of human services programs with a demonstrated record of achievement. Master’s degree in administrative, social work, or another related field. Licensure preferred.
Relationship with Others: As part of the Administrative Council at SCO and a leader of the Adolescent and Young Adult Services program area, the Divisional Director always demonstrates through behaviors and actions her/his commitment to the mission and values of SCO and the success of the entire SCO Family of Services. The Divisional Director encourages the highest standards of services and collaboration of their assigned areas and in their dealing with the members of staff and the Executive Council and Executive Cabinet.
Also, the Divisional Director and those under their supervision need to demonstrate the following characteristics consistently:
Working Conditions: Office environment; requires travel to various program locations; on call 24/7.
