The Hilton DFW Lakes is looking for an Assistant Banquets Managerto join the team! 

The Assistant Banquets Manager is responsible for the overseeing private dining, and coffee breaks, Austin Ranch functions. Direct the staff of the Banquet Department in accordance with hotel standards. Train, implement and maintain a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff. Communicate with guests and handles guest issues. Ensures accuracy of all banquet charges.

Essential Requirements:

• Knowledge of various food service styles.
• Knowledge of specific room set-up styles.
• Knowledge of organizing service from information on B.E.O.'s.
• Knowledge of staffing guidelines/requirements for various types of banquet functions.
• Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish.
• Good computer skills.
• Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls, consumption reports, and producing bills at the end of an event.
• Provide overall direction and leadership to the banquet staff.
• Ensure guest experience meets or exceeds expectations.
• Handle all complaints / resolve problems.
• Plan, assign and work with the banquet staff here and at Austin Ranch.
• Ensure hotel policies and procedures are followed according to applicable laws and hotel standards.
• Attend weekly food and beverage meetings to review events and current financial performance.
• Participate with Culinary, conference planning, accounting, and sales to ensure proper charging of food and beverage consumed, and guest counts.
• Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment / focus on details.
• Ability to exert physical effort / endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties.
• Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate, some college.
• Minimum 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• 2 years experience as an Assistant Banquet Manager/ Supervisor, preferably at a 4-star hotel.
• TABC Certificate, Food Handlers Certificate.
