Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $50k - $65k. In addition to a competitive market-based salary, Sciton provides an opportunity to participate in equity/stock incentive programs, a profit-sharing bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401K with matching.

In this role you will:
- Perform routine testing of sub-assemblies and laser systems according to manufacturing procedures.
- Perform simple optical alignment of laser devices.
- Clean, handle, and install optics and optical devices.
- Perform simple troubleshooting to the sub-assembly level.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and record system test data.
- Assist in failure analysis of sub-assemblies and systems by documenting and presenting failure modes and initial troubleshooting results to supporting technicians or engineering.
- Follow test procedures, best practices, processes and policies.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, protocols and industry regulations.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience with standard testing equipment, i.e. multimeters, optical power meters, current meters, oscilloscope, thermocouples.
- Ability to work from process methods and verbal instruction.
- Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
- Ability to routinely stand or sit for up to 2 hours.
- Ability to routinely bend, reach, stoop, push and pull.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy and a keen eye for discrepancies.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Computer skills - Excel, Microsoft office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
The ideal candidate may also have:
- Previous experience building precision optical sub-assemblies and devices.
- Knowledge of basic electronics.
- 2 years’ in a laser or medical device manufacturing role.
