JOB TITLE: Child and Adolescent/Teen Counselor

LOCATIONS: Fayette, Pike, Pickaway, Ross Counties

SUMMARY

The behavioral health consultant (BHC) works in the primary care clinic as a regular team member and delivers evidence-based consultation for children, their families, and primary care providers and staff. The BHC works closely with primary care providers and staff during the patient’s primary care appointment to develop and implement treatment plans and may provide some brief follow-up (3-5 sessions) on the BHC’s schedule. The BHC will see a broad range of children and families in terms of age (0-21) and presenting concerns (mental, physical, social, developmental, academic needs). Successful applicants will be comfortable with a flexible, fast-paced, and team-based work environment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Required

• Doctorate in Psychology (clinical, counseling, pediatric, or school)

OR

• Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, professional counseling, marriage and family therapy

Preferred

• 2 years of experience working with children and youth
• Those with experience working in primary care or medical teams

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Required

• Current and active state practice license
• Independently licensed– LPCC, LISW

Pay: $27.00 - $45.00 per hour
