Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
SRC is looking to add a Software Test Engineer to a Navy program in Charleston, SC. In this role, you will thoroughly vet and approve proposed software updates and prepare for external test events. This is an in office role at our Charleston, SC facility.

• Performs testing on all software systems including updating/creating test documentation, troubleshooting software issues and validating results
• Administers and supports the maintenance and development of software systems
• Briefs customer on status of software systems to include vulnerability assessment, development progress and bug fix status

Requirements
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
• 2 years related experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Documentation experience writing Test Plans and Test Reports
• CompTIA Security certification or higher required
• Must possess a Secret security clearance
• Ability to travel 2-3 times a year

DESIRED SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Windows 10 experience including registry/group policy editing, administrative controls, services and task management
• Software development experience. Preferably experience with PowerShell/Bash scripting, Python and Java, but general development experience involving scripting and/or object oriented programming is sufficient
• Experience with Atlassian suite of tools including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git. Also desirable is familiarity with the Kanban or Agile development processes
• Familiarity with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
• Understanding of the Public Key Infrastructure certification process including certificate installation and Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs)
• Knowledge of Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols, specifically TLS v1.2/1.3 and the associated cipher suites. Also desirable is experience testing TCP communication with packet capture software

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
